Daylight Forensic & Advisory and Epstein Becker Green will host a webinar titled "Addressing Potential FCPA Risks in an Era of Heightened Enforcement" on May 21, 2010 from 12:30pm - 2:30pm with guest speaker Supervisory Special Agent Robin Gazawi of the Federal Bureau of Investigations International Corruption Unit.
Enforcement of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) is at an all-time high and it appears this trend will continue as the Department of Justice (DOJ), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Securities and Exchange Commission aggressively target individual executives and board members using sophisticated law enforcement tactics and investigative techniques not traditionally used in FCPA cases. In addition, Lanny A. Breuer, Assistant Attorney General of the DOJs Criminal Division, has stated the DOJs intent to focus on FCPA issues in the health care industry, with a specific focus on the pharmaceutical and medical device industries and the recent FCPA sting operation that netted 22 individuals should serve as a warning to these industries.
Join EpsteinBeckerGreen, Daylight Forensic & Advisory, and Supervisory Special Agent Robin Gazawi from the FBIs International Corruption Unit for a 120-minute webinar that will provide an overview of the FCPA; address emerging trends in FCPA enforcement, including the impact of the FCPA on the health care industry; and provide tips on what companies can do to protect themselves.

About the conference:
The global financial crisis, continuing corporate scandals and increased public scrutiny have led to new priorities and an increase in enforcement and regulatory activities worldwide. Today, more than ever, it is vitally important for ethics and compliance officers to assess their programs and their plans in light of this new reality.
What are we likely to see in the coming year? The risk environment is changing in many areas: antitrust, anticorruption and FCPA, privacy, export control, fraud, money laundering, government contracting, environmental crimes, human rights violations, insider trading and more. What new risk areas are emerging as a result of new technologies as well as new financial pressures and uncertainties? What changes should you make to your ethics and compliance program, and what needs to be a priority for your companys leaders?
At this conference you will hear directly from, and talk with, regulators and members of the enforcement community who are shaping the compliance landscape. You will also have the opportunity to exchange ideas with colleagues who are facing the same challenges you are and, like you, are setting their own priorities in this new regulatory and enforcement environment.
