At Charitable Organizations In New York, Washington D.C., Miami
To Celebrate Its First Anniversary
Daylong schedule of activities on June 1st will become annual event
NEW YORK, N.Y. May 28, 2007 From serving meals to the less fortunate, working with autistic children and assisting teachers, employees from Daylight Forensic & Advisory will celebrate the firms one-year anniversary on Friday, June 1 by volunteering at charitable organizations in New York, Washington, D.C. and Miami.
Daylight Forensic employees will volunteer their time at eight not-for-profit organizations as part of the firms Rays of Hope initiative, an ongoing program designed to donate time, professional services or monetary support to a variety of community organizations. Ellen Zimiles, the co-founder and CEO of Daylight Forensic, a fraud risk management firm, said the June 1st event will become an annual affair and anchor a series of charitable activities through the year.
Our Rays of Hope program formalizes the companys commitment to being a responsible corporate citizen, said Zimiles. Weve been very fortunate to enjoy such great success in our first year of business and we want to celebrate the anniversary by giving back to the community. Our employees are really looking forward to participating in the June 1st activities. We intend to make this an annual event.
Employees from Daylight Forensics three corporate offices are scheduled to volunteer at the following organizations on June 1st:
- Northwest Essex Community Healthcare Network, Therapeutic School and Preschool in Belleville, N.J.: Daylight volunteers will aid in organizing a field day for students, host a barbecue and assist teachers.
- New York Center for Autism Charter School M337 in Manhattan: Daylight volunteers will assist the office administration and teachers.
- Furnish a Future in Brooklyn, N.Y.: Daylight volunteers will sort and pack furniture and help less fortunate families find furniture.
- Dress for Success NY, Sort for Success in Brooklyn, N.Y.: Daylight volunteers will sort donated professional attire for disadvantaged women.
- Urban Dove All Stars, Law Enforcement Career Day in Manhattan: Daylight volunteers will host a law enforcement career day for students. Law Enforcement officials and Daylight Executives with law enforcement backgrounds will discuss education, internship opportunities and situational cases within the industry.
- Westside Campaign Against Hunger in Manhattan: Daylight volunteers will stock and prepare food, and help feed the homeless.
- Capital Area Food Bank in Washington D.C.: Daylight volunteers will stock and prepare food, and serve meals to the needy.
- The Charlee Program in Miami: Daylight volunteers will spend the day mentoring the programs severely abused and neglected children in the foster-care system of Miami-Dade County.
