Executive Director
Scott Moritz is an executive director with Daylight in its New York office. Scott Moritz has over 22 years of complex investigative, forensic accounting, regulatory compliance and law enforcement experience. He provides FCPA/Bribery and Corruption Compliance, international investigations and training, anti-money laundering, forensic accounting and investigative due diligence assignments on behalf of Daylight's clients. In addition, Mr. Moritz also serves as the firm's Chief Security Officer.
Prior to joining Daylight, he has held executive positions at other major accounting firms and global investigative firms. For nearly 10 years, Scott served as an FBI Special Agent where he was nationally recognized for his expertise in money laundering and asset forfeiture investigations. He has extensive experience conducting complex internal investigations of fraud, misconduct and corruption, anti-money laundering consulting, organized crime and IPSIG matters both domestically and internationally. He has led complex fraud and corruption investigations in Turkey, Hungary, Uruguay, Argentina, Mexico and throughout the United States leading to the recovery of hundreds of millions of dollars of criminally derived assets.
Scott has also performed and supervised hundreds of domestic and international investigative due diligence and FCPA red flag assignments on behalf of Fortune 500 companies, investment banks, insurance companies, hedge funds, commercial lenders and private equity firms. While serving with the FBI, Scott garnered significant experience investigating organized crimes control of the private sanitation industry. Since leaving the FBI, he has been involved in the court-appointed monitoring of numerous companies and has assisted government regulatory agencies in their oversight of the private sanitation and construction industries.
