Webinar: Addressing Potential FCPA Risks in an Era of Heightened Enforcement
May 21, 2010, 12:30pm - 2:30pm - webinar

Daylight Forensic & Advisory and Epstein Becker Green will host a webinar titled "Addressing Potential FCPA Risks in an Era of Heightened Enforcement" on May 21, 2010 from 12:30pm - 2:30pm with guest speaker Supervisory Special Agent Robin Gazawi of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s International Corruption Unit.

Enforcement of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (“FCPA”) is at an all-time high and it appears this trend will continue as the Department of Justice (“DOJ”), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (“FBI”) and the Securities and Exchange Commission aggressively target individual executives and board members using sophisticated law enforcement tactics and investigative techniques not traditionally used in FCPA cases. In addition, Lanny A. Breuer, Assistant Attorney General of the DOJ’s Criminal Division, has stated the DOJ’s intent to focus on FCPA issues in the health care industry, with a specific focus on the pharmaceutical and medical device industries and the recent FCPA sting operation that netted 22 individuals should serve as a warning to these industries.

Join EpsteinBeckerGreen, Daylight Forensic & Advisory, and Supervisory Special Agent Robin Gazawi from the FBI’s International Corruption Unit for a 120-minute webinar that will provide an overview of the FCPA; address emerging trends in FCPA enforcement, including the impact of the FCPA on the health care industry; and provide tips on what companies can do to protect themselves.
